Current Project
Investigation of the epigenomic signatures in hematopoietic stem- and progenitor cells. The small population of hematopoietic stem cells are responsible for supplying new differentiated blood cells throughout life. Each differentiation step involves changes in both gene expression and in the epigenomic chromatin state, turning and shutting down genes associated with the different cell types. I aim to investigate how these epigenomic patterns changes through differentiation and how they are affected by hematopoietic transcription factors.
